Utilization of Education in Building Socio-Cultural Resilience
Assessment of the Implementation of the National Religious Moderation Program in Indonesia
Abstract
Education about religious moderation is a national program implemented in various educational institutions in Indonesia to create a moderate situation in a pluralistic society. Therefore, further analysis is needed regarding the implementation of religious moderation because it will have an impact on the country's socio-cultural resilience. So this research has the objectives of 1) knowing the implementation of religious moderation on the socio-cultural conditions of schools, 2) knowing students' understanding of religious moderation, 3) formulate solutions for implementing religious moderation education in realizing the country's social resilience.This research is a descriptive study, data was collected from various sources and analyzed using and Computer-assisted (or aided) qualitative data analysis software (Caqdas) and fish bone analysis. The research results show that 1) superfacility existsthe application of moderation values is top down, textual-classical learning, oriented to cognitive aspects only, religious moderation in forming school socio-cultural resilience is still isolated, not yet integrated with local socio-cultural conditions in the school environment, 3) The majority of students acquire knowledge about religion from the religion teacher at the school and textually, students' knowledge about religious moderation is good, 4) Solutions to improve the implementation of religious moderation in schools through effective learning with beyond the wall, adapted to the culture of the school's local environment, instilling values carried out contextually. The implications of this research can be used as a reference for the government, education managers and teachers in implementing religious moderation education, especially in areas that have diverse socio-cultural conditions.
