Many previous studies suggest that not every entrepreneurial intention (EI) is eventually transformed into actual behaviour such as starting and operating a new venture This study proposed a new model to investigate the influences of content and process variables on Entrepreneurial Intention among the Iban community in Kuching based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). The intention-action gap among Iban community was scrutinised, attributing it to the contextual factors, i.e., content (need for achievement, risk-taking propensity, and innovativeness) and process (entrepreneurial self-efficacy and family upbringing), affecting the translation of entrepreneurial intentions which can impact this community’s decision in forming the business that they intended.

Attitudes, Awareness, Readiness and Barriers Towards the Internet of Things Adoption Among Construction Industry in East Cost Malaysia

There is an argument that the Internet of Things (IoT) adoption is relatively low especially in the construction industry. Hence, an initiative to examine the IoT adoption amongst contractors becomes the main focus of this study. This initiative is achieved by studying the current standing on relationship of attitudes, awareness, readiness and barriers towards the IoT adoption among contractors in Kelantan. Population of this study are enclosed to the 330 contractors that based in Kelantan on the categories of Grade G5, G6 and G6 with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) of Malaysia. These categories are the top three of highest-rank contractors in Malaysian construction industry that high possibility of having the IoT adoption in their organization. Therefore, the results shown that the attitudes, awareness, readiness and barriers are contributing to the changes in the adoption of IoT among the contractors. Significant relationship between IoT adoption among construction industry has been elaborated accordingly. As such, this study has given some useful indication for enhancing IoT adoption in the construction industry among contractors and the Government of Malaysia might take some action to pursue on the IoT adoption to embrace towards Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0) in this country.

Impact of Ports Operation Towards Local Community Lifestyle

Seaports are maritime commercial facilities that consist of one or more harbours where ships can dock and move cargo and people. They situated on the coast or shore. For centuries, ports have been at the heart of trade, especially logistics, and their importance has only grown. For a century, the port has been a significant contributor to the country's economy. Over the decades, the port's establishment and development have improved the quality of life in the surrounding communities. It has given them a range of ideals to live. This research aims to establish and define the relationship between the port's growth and the local community's lifestyle. A conceptual structure was analyzed and debated, including employment opportunities, mobility, tourism, and safety and security. This study was conducted among members of the local community in Georgetown's North East area using non-probability sampling, which entails circulating a questionnaire in the form of a Google form to 384 respondents. IBM SPSS version 26 was used to analyze the data collected. Different data analysis methods, such as preliminary, descriptive, reliability, and Pearson Correlation, were used to analyze the data collected. The results of this analysis show that versatility has the highest Cronbach's Alpha value in the reliability test and the Pearson Correlation Coefficient rule of thumb. The study's findings revealed a straightforward path toward a higher-quality lifestyle for the local population while also benefiting the sea freight shipping and port industries.

Work Environments and Employee Performance among Goverments Sectors at Kabong, Sarawak

The working environment is one of the essential human requirements that enables people to carry out their work effectively under defined conditions.This research was intended to understand the effect of the work atmosphere on employee efficiency. The main objective of this study was to assess the impact of the working environment on the performance of employees among government sectors in Kabong, Sarawak. It focuses on four main areas of the working environment, that influences the performance of employees, namely: the design of the workplace, the diversity of the workforce, rewards and benefits, and health and safety measures. By using the quantitative approach, 100 questionnaires were distirbuted to the subject of this research. The result approves that there are relationship between work environment and employees performance. Recommendations were drawn on the basis of the findings that; to ensure the productivity of employees, management should look for ways in which the firm can motivate each individual employee to do his or her best performance.
