The Application of the Halalan Thoyyiban in Healthy Eating Patterns

Eating patterns, shaped by cultural, economic, and personal factors, describe how individuals consume food daily and significantly affect health. Recently, halal dietary practices have gained notable attention, not only among Muslims but also among those pursuing healthy eating choices. The significance of following halal dietary guidelines goes beyond religious duties, offering a comprehensive approach to health, nutrition, and ethical considerations. This paper explores healthy eating habits through the lens of Halalan Thoyyiban, focusing on identifying permissible foods, preparation methods, and the ethical aspects of food choices.

Pola pemakanan merujuk kepada cara seseorang mengambil makanan dalam kehidupan seharian yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor budaya, ekonomi, dan individu, serta dapat memberikan impak besar kepada kesihatan. Dalam dunia kontemporari, konsep amalan pemakanan halal telah mendapat perhatian yang signifikan, bukan sahaja dalam kalangan umat Islam tetapi juga mereka yang mencari pilihan makanan yang baik dan sihat. Kepentingan mematuhi amalan pemakanan halal melangkaui kewajipan agama, bahkan merangkumi pendekatan holistik terhadap kesihatan, pemakanan, dan pertimbangan etika. Penulisan ini bermatlamat memahami dan menganalisis pola pemakanan sihat berasaskan konsep halal thoyyiban melibatkan pengenalan jenis makanan yang dibenarkan, kaedah penyediaan, dan implikasi etika dalam pilihan makanan.

Elevating Motivation and Engagement of Students In Islamic Education: A Meta-Analysis on The Use of Interactive Learning Approaches

Teaching Islamic Education using traditional lecture-based methods is often perceived as monotonous by many students. Consequently, educators are encouraged to adopt innovative instructional strategies, one of which is interactive learning. This study aimed to assess the impact of interactive learning methods on students' motivation and engagement in Islamic Education at the elementary and secondary school levels through a meta-analytical approach. A total of four studies on learning motivation and eight studies on learning activity were compiled into a meta-database. These studies directly compared the effects of the lecturing method with the interactive method in the context of Islamic Education. The odds ratio (OR) was employed as the effect size to synthesize data from various studies. The findings demonstrated that the interactive learning method significantly improved students' motivation compared to the lecturing method (OR 3.67 [2.02-6.68], P<0.001). Additionally, the interactive learning method significantly enhanced students' engagement in learning activities at both elementary and secondary school levels compared to the lecturing method (OR 3.07 [2.01-4.68], P<0.001). In conclusion, the interactive learning method is an effective approach to boost students' motivation and engagement in studying Islamic Education.

Moderate Behavior And The Mission Of Religious Education In Students

This research examines the importance of moderate behavior in the context of implementing religious education and how the mission of religious education can promote and realize this moderate attitude. Moderate behavior, characterized by a tolerant, inclusive and balanced attitude, is the key to creating social harmony in a diverse society. Religious education has a strategic role in shaping students' character so that they have a comprehensive understanding and are tolerant of differences. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method to analyze various relevant literature. The aim of this research is to make religious education an infrastructure for developing students and can provide a moderate attitude so that a harmonious life can be created and respect for all differences is inevitable. The research results show that religious education that prioritizes the values of moderation can prevent radicalism and extremism and form a generation that values pluralism and peace. Implementation of an integrative curriculum and teaching that prioritizes dialogue and respect for diversity are effective strategies in achieving this goal. Thus, the mission of religious education that focuses on moderate behavior is not only important for individual development but also for maintaining social stability and harmony in a multicultural society.

Multicultural Education In Islamic Education

Indonesia as a nation state that has various differences emphasizes that its citizens must be able to live in a situation of differences. Thus, multiculturalism in Indonesia is inevitable. However, in reality, it is undeniable that the face of Indonesia's multiculturalism until now has not been so good and that conflicts will arise at any time. This study aims to compile and describe Multicultural Education in Islamic Education. The method used in this study is library research, data collection by looking for sources and reconstructing and studying from various sources such as books, journals, and existing researches. The result of this research is that the paradigm of multiculturalism has become an idea that is quite contextual to contemporary society today. The basic principles of equality, justice, openness, and recognition of differences are the principles of human values that are urgently needed in the global cultural squeeze. Therefore, as a cultural movement, multiculturalism is an inseparable part of various cultural systems in society, in the case of education, it is through multicultural education. Multicultural education can be implemented in Indonesia in the form of formal, informal and non-formal education by integrating multicultural values in curriculum materials, through strategies, approaches and learning methods, learning interactions and internalization of multicultural values from an early age to students. Thus, Islamic education in Indonesia will produce national cadres who are more tolerant, inclusive and rahmatan lil alamin.

The Right of Children to Preserve Religion and Life from The Perspective Of The Provisions of Islamic Family Jurisprudence and Maqasid Sharia

Islamic family jurisprudence pays great attention to children and has established numerous rulings to preserve their rights and protect them from abuse. This is very important since children by all standards are the weakest members of the family, and this may cause some people with not strong faith to take away their rights and abuse them. Hence it is also seen that children as with other areas within the family have been provided for many rights including the religious and psychological ones by Islamic family jurisprudence. Particularly these laws in Islamic Family Law are laid down to the Children´s best interest and care in terms of safeguarding children’s rights as well as the general welfare. These rulings are however relevant to the Maqasid Sharia since they aim at protecting children’s rights and development by promoting welfare among children and withholding maltreatment so that they can enjoy life.

اهتمت أحكام فقه الأسرة الإسلامية بالطفل، وشرعت العديد من الأحكام من أحل المحافظة على حقوقه، وحمايته من الاعتداءات، خاصة أن الطفل هو الفرد الأضعف في الأسرة، مما يشجع بعض ضعاف الإيمان على سلب حقوقه والاعتداء عليه، ولذا نرى أن أحكام فقه الأسرة الإسلامية أقرت العديد من الحقوق للطفل، ومنها الحقوق الدينية والنفسية، ويظهر في أحكام فقه الأسرة الإسلامية تمتعها بخصائص راقية، من أجل المحافظة على حقوق الطفل ورعايته، ويظهر أنها أحكام متوافقة مع مقاصد الشريعة في المحافظة على حقوق الطفل، وذلك في جلب المصلحة للطفل ودرء المفسدة عنه، لكي يعيش الطفل في ظل السعادة.

Consideration of Benefits (Maslahah) and Harm (Mafsadah) in Child Marriage Cases in Malaysia from the Perspective of Maqasid al-Syariah

The study titled Consideration of Benefits (Maslahah) and Harm (Mafsadah) in Child Marriage Cases in Malaysia from the Perspective of Maqasid al-Syariah aims to examine the practice of child marriage in Malaysia by analyzing its alignment with the principles of Maqasid al-Syariah, particularly in balancing the benefits and harms. The practice, prevalent in certain communities, raises significant concerns about children's rights, education, and long-term well-being. The primary objective of this research is to investigate whether child marriages fulfil the objectives of Islamic law, which emphasizes the protection of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and wealth. Using a qualitative approach, this study relies on document analysis and in-depth interviews with two industry practitioners in the state religious department in Selangor and Pahang the socio-economic, religious, and cultural justifications for child marriage. The findings suggest that while certain benefits, such as avoiding illicit relationships, are considered, the overall harms, including the potential for physical and psychological harm to children, outweigh the perceived benefits. The study concludes that child marriages often fail to meet the core objectives of Maqasid al-Syariah, particularly in safeguarding health, intellect, and future potential. The implications of this research suggest a pressing need for legislative reform and enhanced public awareness to protect children’s rights and well-being, aligning the legal framework with the higher objectives of Islamic law.

This research explores how Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) can be combined with teachings from the Quran to create a well-rounded educational approach. The goal is to bring together modern scientific knowledge and spiritual wisdom, fostering a more holistic learning experience. By blending STEM with Quranic principles, the study aims to promote critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and spiritual development in students. The research uses content analysis and begins with a detailed review of existing literature, drawing from databases like PsycINFO, JSTOR, PubMed, and Google Scholar. The findings suggest that a curriculum integrating STEM and Quranic teachings can help students gain the skills and values they need to succeed in today’s complex, interconnected world.

Management 0f Income Sources and Financial Expenditures of Mosques In Ranau Sabah

The mosque is a place of profound significance among Muslims and functions as a centre for worship. It is imperative for Muslims to strengthen the financial management of mosques in order to facilitate various religious activities. This study aims to investigate the financial management practices of mosques in the Ranau district of Sabah. The primary objective of this research is to elucidate the sources of income and financial expenditures of mosques within this region. To achieve this objective, qualitative data were collected through semi-structured interviews with fourteen respondents, comprising seven mosque chairmen and seven mosque treasurers who are directly engaged in the financial management of their respective mosques. The collected data were analysed using both inductive and deductive methods. This research employs a multiple case study design, utilising purposive sampling to ensure the selection of relevant participants. The findings indicate that the financial management practices concerning income and expenditure among mosques in the Ranau district, as administered by the chairmen and treasurers, comply with the procedures established by the Sabah State Department of Islamic Affairs. This study provides valuable insights for mosque committee members in formulating guidelines that will enhance the capacity of mosque management to effectively oversee their financial income and expenditures.

Masjid adalah tempat yang amat suci di kalangan umat Islam dan sebagai pusat menunaikan ibadah. Umat Islam dituntut untuk memperkasakan pengurusan kewangaan masjid untuk pelaksanaan pelbagai aktiviti keagamaan. Kajian ini dilaksanakan bagi mengkaji pengurusan kewangan masjid di daerah Ranau, Sabah. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan sumber pendapatan dan perbelanjaan kewangan masjid di daerah Ranau, Sabah. Bagi mencapai objektif kajian ini, kaedah temu bual digunakan bagi mendapatkan data primer daripada empat belas orang responden iaitu tujuh (7) orang pengerusi masjid dan tujuh (7) orang bendahari masjid yang terlibat secara langsung dalam pengurusan kewangan masjid. Data yang diperolehi dianalisis menggunakan metode induktif dan deduktif. Kajian ini merupakan kajian kualitatif sepenuhnya yang menggunakan kaedah kajian temu bual manakala reka bentuk kajian ialah kajian kes berbilang dan menggunakan persampelan bertujuan. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa pengamalan pengurusan kewangan masjid dari aspek pendapatan dan perbelanjaan kewangan masjid di daerah Ranau, Sabah oleh pengerusi dan bendahari masjid mengikut prosedur yang ditetapkan oleh Jabatan Agama Islam Negeri Sabah. Kajian ini dapat memberikan panduan kepada ahli jawatankuasa masjid bagi merangka beberapa garis panduan yang boleh membantu pihak pengurusan masjid untuk mempertingkatkan keupayaan pengurusan pendapatan dan perbelanjaan kewangan masjid.
