Abstract

One area of tourism that is becoming more and more well-known worldwide is halal travel. This pertains to travel that satisfies a Muslim's religious requirements, such as providing halal cuisine and engaging in non-religious activities. Malaysia is one of the countries that is increasingly known for halal tourism. Malaysia continues to hold the top spot among Muslim visitors' halal travel destinations, according to the Global Muslim Tourism Index (GMTI). The objective of this study was to understand the concept of halal tourism and its application in Malaysia. This study uses a qualitative method through literature review.The study's findings indicate that Malaysia employs halal tourism via multiple channels, including halal cuisine, distinctive cultural practices and etc.
