Abstract
Leadership is the essence of an organization's success. Leadership expertise from an Islamic perspective is crucial for comprehending the organization's success, as well as the benefit of mankind in the here and hereafter This study examined the leadership aspect in higher education institutions specifically Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Brunei Darussalam. The researcher tries to examined the foundation, traits and principles of Islamic leadership practiced in UNISSA. The result showed that the basic notion of Islamic leadership in UNISSA is to lead to achieve organizational goals and compete to be a head of others as well as to seek the measure of Allah and success hereafter,
