Abstract
Allah has stated in verse 125, surah al-Nahl is related to the framework of the Islamic da’wah concept. This verse explains three main methods of preaching Islam: al-hikmah, maw’izah al-hasanah and al-mujadalah. Therefore, this article aims to analyze the discussion of the concept of da'wah method, which covers the aspects of al-hikmah, al-maw’izah al-hasanah and al-mujadalah. The design of this study used a qualitative method, which is collecting materials through a literature review. Research materials were analyzed using the content analysis method according to the theme and sub-theme of preaching methods in the Quran based on verse 125, surah al-Nahl. The study results found that the framework of the da’wah methods with al-hikmah, al-maw’izah al-hasanah and al-mujadalah covers a general concept definition but has specific criteria for implementing in the contextual. The definition of the concept that has been explained in the Quran, hadith and the views of scholars show a careful demand. The specific criteria, based on the conceptual definition of the three methods, show a demand for implementation or use in a contextual form that is suitable and accurate for the people.
